Tracking and Measuring Your Small Business Online Success

I was delighted today to see Luke Newton's post over at Skatterbox on the 10 Best Analytic Blogs - one of the greatest things about online marketing is the fact that so many marketing techniques are measurable and quantifiable - yet, measurement is often where those of us who run our own small business tend to fall short. I can certainly measure the basics, but I'm no analytics expert.

Luke's list is the best resource I've seen for pulling all the great info on analytics in the blogosphere together - check it out on his blog at www.Skatterbox.com today!

Wow, Thank you for the post and the plug! I definitely agree that many SMB's overlook analytics - some with the impression that its too complex to understand and that they would need to hire a statistician to make sense of it all.

The truth is that while you can get inundated with stats with a huge analytics platform... only a handful of that data is truly actionable. Its all about realizing what data can help you make changes that impact your business goals. In analytics its need to know vs nice to know.

Once that is determined - it will start to feel less overwhelming and you can put it to good use! Any number of those blogs listed are great resources to get started!

Best!
